China will press ahead with the restructuring and integration of its centrally administered State-owned enterprises across industries in the second half of this year, to achieve four main goals, a senior government official said on Aug 25.
China's State asset regulator has urged centrally administered State-owned enterprises to actively integrate into the nation's basic research activities and applied innovation systems, in order to create a source for original technologies and reinforce their positions in industry chains.
Xi'an, Shaanxi province-based infrastructure project provider China Railway 20th Bureau Group Corp, or CR20G, will become an agricultural industry chain builder in markets involved in the Belt and Road Initiative during China's 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), an executive said.
A total of 82 Chinese state-owned enterprises (SOEs) were included on the 2021 Fortune Global 500 List released on Aug 2; 49 of them are central SOEs and their subsidiaries.
