A 4×50-megawatt wind power plant built by China Huadian Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Huadian Corporation Ltd., started full-capacity commercial operations on July 6 in Dak Lak province in Vietnam.
The plant boasts 73 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 200 MW and it’s expected to generate 612 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, meeting the daily needs of about 240,000 households.
The wind farm is projected to save 190,000 metric tons of standard coal and reduce 500,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
