Air China Cargo Delivers Relief Supplies to Venezuela

Flight CA1097, operated by a B747‑400F freighter of Air China Cargo Co., Ltd. (Air China Cargo), a subsidiary of Air China Limited, took off from Beijing Capital International Airport at 10:48 pm on July 5.

Laden with more than 80 metric tons of humanitarian disaster-relief supplies provided by the Chinese government, such as tents, blankets, emergency water purification vehicles and solar lanterns, the aircraft is bound for Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, to provide robust support for local livelihoods.

Upon receiving the task, Air China Cargo immediately coordinated with civil aviation authorities to accurately define the transport requirements, safeguard protocols, and operational standards for this government-chartered flight. It efficiently completed flight organization, pre-flight preparations, and cargo loading, providing a robust guarantee for the mission.

Air China Cargo deployed a six-member flight crew and an operational support team comprising highly experienced and technically proficient personnel. It also made arrangements for ground service workers to get on board so as to ensure both flight safety over the extended range and the smooth execution of overseas operations.
