The satellite, developed by China Academy of Space Technology, a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), aims to verify multi-band, high-speed satellite communication technologies.

The Long March 5 carrier rocket, domestically developed by China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, another CASC subsidiary, is a two-and-a-half stage liquid-fueled launch rocket.

To further improve mission reliability, the rocket has undergone nine technical improvements. In the future, the Long March 5 project team will continue to make further efforts to enhance its payload and optimize the test and launch processes, providing solid support for subsequent lift-offs.

This launch marks the 650th mission of the Long March rocket family.
