As an NPC deputy from the grassroots, Wang has been committed to widely soliciting public opinion. An internal online forum of the complete vehicle factory has been a main platform for his opinion collection, with 90 percent of employees reading his posts and more than 2,000 responding to them. Their opinion and suggestions have been incorporated into his suggestions submitted to annual NPC sessions, which reflect the true, urgent aspirations of front-line workers.
This year, Wang made suggestions closely relating to the development of the automobile industry and Dongfeng Motor Group Company Limited, the parent company of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. They include building Shiyan City, Central China’s Hubei Province, into a national pilot city for low-altitude economy and a national industrial backup base for machine tools and key vehicle components, supporting Shiyan and the Wuhan metropolitan area in applying to become a national demonstration cluster for the comprehensive application of hydrogen energy, implementing the new eight-level skilled worker system and adopting strong incentive and dynamic monitoring system to better reflect the value of industrial workers’ skills, improving the subsidy policy for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and speeding up the establishment of a unified national market, and supporting pilot testing of the intelligent connected vehicles on real roads in Hubei.
“I will live up to the mission and the trust placed in me, speaking on behalf of industrial workers and voicing the concerns of the auto industry,” Wang said.
He said that he will continue to call on the whole society to place greater importance on skilled talents and their development, so as to enhance their sense of gain, happiness and professional pride. The goal, he said, is to encourage more young people to join factories, commit themselves to the real economy, and strive to become skilled craftsmen of the new era.
