The world’s largest B-type liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel tank has been installed by a 3,600-metric-ton large sea crane.
The hoisting and installation took about 29 hours, and was completed 9.5 hours ahead of schedule.

Independently designed by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (DSIC), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC), the fuel tank weighs about 1,150 tons and is 22 meters long, 29.24 meters wide and 28.55 meters high. It has a capacity of 13,000 cubic meters, the largest of its kind in the world.

The hoisting and installation of the fuel tank marked that China now is capable of systematically hoisting and installing a B-type tank, which will support future construction of liquefied gas tank vessels.
