On November 28, the world's first kiloton multi-mode new energy bridge erecting machine "Yinglong" made its debut at the JJZQ-8 section of the Pearl River-Zhaoqing High-Speed Railway, marking the world's first of its kind successfully developed by China Railway Science & Industry Group Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of China Railway Group Limited. This new equipment, based on a kiloton bridge erector, is equipped with an "extender + power battery" power system and control strategy, marking the first application of new energy technology in a bridge erecting machine, leading to a reduction of fuel consumption by 40 percent.
On October 31, China completed the production of its largest tunnel-boring machine, "Jianghai", measuring 16.64 meters in diameter, in Changsha, Central China’s Hunan province.
