The first phase of the 139th Canton Fair, themed around the concept “Advanced Manufacturing”, concluded on April 19. The event was held in Guangzhou, the capital of South China’s Guangdong Province.
China Southern Air Logistics (CSAL), a subsidiary of China Southern Air Holding Company Limited, leveraged its aviation hub in Guangzhou to provide stable and efficient logistics services for Chinese manufacturers.
During the first phase of the current Canton Fair, which lasted five days, the volume of Chinese high-tech and electromechanical exhibits transported by CSAL increased by more than 30 percent from the same period of the previous month.
To meet the surging cross-border logistics demand during the Canton Fair, CSAL expanded transportation capacity across its global route network. By integrating multimodal solutions such as air-land and air-air transport, it has built a major air logistics corridor linking the world’s key economies. During the Canton Fair, it planned to operate more than 150 international cargo flights through Guangzhou.
CSAL launched a “Green Channel for Exhibits” to serve exhibitors who need to transport commodities to the venue and deliver samples to customers. The company made optimized and tailored transport plans to boost efficiency. As of April 19, the domestic express delivery volume of the company rose by more than 25 percent year on year.
At its international cargo terminal in Guangzhou, CSAL has introduced pre-filing and pre-screening mechanisms to streamline customs clearance for battery-powered and other sensitive goods, significantly enhancing efficiency. The smart cargo system was upgraded to enable seamless and efficient handling and outbound processing of cross-border parcels.
With extensive experience in the export of high-end devices, new energy vehicles and lithium batteries, CSAL made comprehensive logistics solutions tailored to exhibitors in advanced manufacturing and intelligent technology. It has established a full-process, standardized support system that features safety control, pre-review of documents, a green channel and dedicated warehousing.
