A ceremony was held on March 26 in Anapolis, Brazil, to celebrate the roll-out of the UNI-T, a new SUV of Changan Automobile.
The UNI-T SUV, equipped with the advanced 1.5 Turbo GDi BlueCore Flex engine, is specially developed for the Brazilian market. Changan Automobile plans to introduce three models in the first phase of production, which will be equipped with flexible-fuel engines capable of running on gasoline, ethanol, or any blend of the two, fully adapting to Brazil’s local energy mix, where ethanol is a primary fuel.
In the future, Changan Automobile plans to introduce a full range of hybrid and electrified variants based on dual-fuel and hybrid electric technologies, and enhance the supply, innovation and capital chains of Brazil’s automobile industry. In this way, Brazil can achieve the electrification of its automobile industry, produce vehicles by itself and introduce its vehicles to the global market. Meanwhile, China’s automobile enterprises can leap from product export to brand, manufacturing and service export.
