Updated: April 13, 2026

Air China Cargo Co., Ltd. (Air China Cargo), a subsidiary of China National Aviation Holding Corporation Limited, launched a freight route from Shanghai to Miami recently.

A Boeing 777 is used on this route to transport time-sensitive cargo, such as cross-border e-commerce commodities, electronic products, high-end goods and precision instruments. The route will further facilitate the aerial transportation from the Yangtze River Delta to the southeastern region of the US and Latin America.

Air China Cargo has continued to improve its network of routes to North America in recent years. The network, coupled with existing routes from Shanghai to Los Angeles, New York and Chicago, is expected to cover the west and east coasts of the US and Latin America, thus better serving cross-border trade with safer, more efficient and stable aerial logistics.

Air China Cargo intends to continue to optimize the layout of international freight routes and enhance its aerial transport capabilities, in order to facilitate the international supply chain and promote high-level opening-up.
