[New Year, New Start] CCIC Facilitates Argentinian Bezoars Export to China

Updated: March 13, 2026

China Certification & Inspection Group (CCIC) made use of its professional expertise and, through its South American subsidiary, provided systematic and standardized inspection and traceability services for the first-ever shipment of natural bezoars exported from Argentina to China.

This move has not only enabled the premium natural bezoars from South America to enter the Chinese market through compliant channels, but has also secured a stable and credible quality assurance pathway for the international procurement of such scarce medicinal materials for the traditional Chinese medicine industry in the country.

Bezoars are high-value, animal-derived products subject to stringent regulation. Chinese import regulation authorities paid great emphasis on the legality of their source, product authenticity and quality as well as the full-process traceability.

CCIC South America SRL, the local CCIC subsidiary overseeing this inspection, developed a quality guarantee solution that aligns with China’s regulatory standards, while accommodating both local production conditions and trade needs. The solution covers key steps including verification of raw material origin, on-site sensory inspection, quantity confirmation, quality documentation, and information retention, thereby providing strong technical support for the first shipment of bezoars exported to China.

This export is not only the start of trade in a specific product, but also represents an important step forward in China-Argentina cooperation on higher-quality and higher-value-added specialty agricultural products. It holds profound implications for enhancing the security, stability and high-quality development of the traditional Chinese medicine industrial chain.
