COSCO Shipping Logistics & Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation Limited, transported a 380-ton ultra-heavy electricity generator to a client’s factory in Termez, Uzbekistan. Departing from the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands, the shipment traversed the Eurasian continent over 194 days and approximately 8,000 kilometers. The transport team overcame multiple challenges, including extreme Arctic conditions, crowded border channels and dangerous mountainous roads.

To deal with extreme cold, the team adopted consistent temperature protection methods and real-time monitoring throughout the transport. They maintained a round-the-clock watch on the condition of the generator, ensuring that its delicate components remained unharmed despite the low temperatures.
Facing complicated road conditions and severe weather, the team utilized reinforced escort support on high-risk stretches to keep the transport moving smoothly.

At border ports, the team employed a multi-modal transport model that involves European roads, the Black Sea shipping and Central Asian roads. They completed the precheck for the cross-border customs clearance 72 hours in advance, making the entire move effective and smooth.
