On January 27, 2025, Chinese and Peruvian employees of Minera Chinalco Perú gathered to joyfully celebrate the Chinese New Year. The office in Lima and the Toromocho mine site were filled with festive decorations and lively energy as the dragon and lion dance opened the celebration with the sound of drums and cheers. Children of Chinese employees showcased their calligraphy skills by writing auspicious characters like 'Fu' (fortune) and 'Chun' (spring), which earned warm applause. Peruvian employees enthusiastically experienced traditional Chinese culture and the joyful spirit of the festival. The event not only brought a sense of home to Chinese employees working overseas, but also strengthened friendship and cultural exchange between Chinese and Peruvian colleagues.
