During the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period, China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (CAS) stayed committed to the goal of building a world-class civil aviation service provider and continued to make vigorous efforts in safeguarding industrial chain security and promoting technological innovation, thus making new contributions to improving the country’s aviation service support.
Over the past five years, CAS has followed the trends of civil aviation industry transformation, actively promoted the upgrades of traditional businesses, and accelerated the deployment of strategic emerging industries, making substantial gains in operating scale and quality efficiency.
In 2025, the total profit of CAS surged by 145 percent compared with the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20) period, with a compound annual growth rate of nearly 20 percent. Its overall labor productivity reached 1.05 million yuan ($0.15 million) per capita, an increase of about 60 percent from the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period. The R&D investment intensity, return on equity and profit contribution of technology-based enterprises nearly doubled compared with the figures at the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period.
CAS’s capabilities in technological innovation and value creation have been significantly enhanced. It has successfully fulfilled the 14th Five-Year Plan target of doubling the total profit. Moreover, both the operating income and profits of its technology-based enterprises account for more than one-third of the group’s total, showing that CAS has achieved remarkable results in its transformation from a trade service oriented enterprise to a technology service oriented one.
Strengthen core functions
CAS has fully advanced major special projects including bulk aircraft procurement, domestic civil aircraft support and second-hand aircraft recycling. Focusing on the concept of full-life-cycle aircraft management, it has contributed to the security and stability of the civil aviation industrial chain and supply chain.
CAS has actively provided airlines with end-to-end services such as whole aircraft and major component leasing, comprehensive aviation material support, in-depth maintenance and information platforms. It has continuously enhanced its capability to deliver one-stop solutions.
Enhancing technological innovation
Enhancing technological innovation has been the keynote of CAS’s development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
China Aviation Navigation Data Co, Ltd (NAVCHINA), a subsidiary of CAS, has dedicated itself to the research and development of domestic navigation data service products, emerging as the only domestic manufacturer with the capability to produce global navigation data. Its domestically produced international aeronautical charts have covered 57 international airports and achieved commercialization.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, CAS has built six new innovation platforms at various levels, continuously boosting its innovation momentum.
