In September 2025, China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd. (China Mobile) completed the research and development of a 6G prototype, building the industry’s first 6G technology field trial environment. It enabled end-to-end collaborative verification between multiple locations, interconnecting Beijing and Hong Kong, Beijing and Pengcheng Laboratory, and Beijing and Xiong’an.
The world’s first 6G open and co-creation testbed was successfully built, supporting the validation of business scenarios such as immersive communication and embodied robotics. In collaboration with GTI and ITU, China Mobile launched an international testbed, attracting over 30 industry-academia-research partners to participate in co-creation and joint testing, thereby advancing 6G scientific research, industrial progress, and ecosystem prosperity.
