Taking up national missions and social responsibilities, China’s central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) have leverage their strength in capital, technology, management, and talent to benefit farmlands, mountain villages, and pastoral areas.
They established a jujube research institute in Maigaiti County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, launched the Modern Agriculture Platform (MAP) in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and developed the China National Coal Group Corporation’s rural revitalization program in Yinjiang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County, Guizhou Province.
These efforts have not only significantly improved the infrastructure and public services in vast regions, but have also effectively stimulated local development initiatives. They have explored distinctive and effective revitalization paths, injecting strong momentum into consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation and advancing comprehensive rural revitalization.
