Independently developed by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC)’s Special Vehicle Research Institute, the AS700 is China’s first manned airship designed and manufactured in full accordance with airworthiness standards and with completely independent intellectual property rights. The airship measures 50 meters in length, supports a maximum range of 700 kilometers, and can carry up to 10 passengers. The AS700 will undergo further flight testing in Shaoxing to facilitate its commercial launch, with plans to open to the public next year. Meanwhile, personnel training is also progressing. The first group of three licensed AS700 pilots is about to complete their training, providing essential professional support for future operations.
