Located within the China-Guinea Friendship Hospital, the center was part of Phase II expansion undertaken by POWERCHINA. Covering 4,976 square meters, the project includes a new medical technology building, a comprehensive medical building, functional facilities, a covered corridor connecting both phases, and a wastewater treatment station. The hospital is equipped with advanced medical devices such as 64-slice CT scanners, 1.5T MRI machines, and DSA angiography suites, significantly improving diagnosis and treatment capabilities of complex conditions.

The project team developed detailed maintenance manuals and trained Guinean technicians for independent operation and management, boosting facility performance and ensuring the sustainability and impact of China’s overseas medical aid projects.

Following the inauguration, the medical center will focus on technology introduction, talent training, standard-setting, quality improvement, scientific research, and industrial development. It aims to establish the China-Guinea Friendship Hospital as a regional hub in West Africa for precise diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, minimally invasive surgery, and AI-assisted medical services.
