At the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, China United Network Communications Group Co., Ltd. (China Unicom) enhanced the event’s digital experience with its advanced “5G-A + AI” technology, creating a self-optimizing intelligent network that provides high-speed coverage and smart scheduling.
The network supports peak speeds of up to 10 Gbps, facilitating smooth 8K live streaming, metaverse exhibitions, and real-time interactions for exhibitors and visitors.

In partnership with the Qingpu District Urban Operations Center, China Unicom Shanghai Branch improved the “CIIE Unified Management Platform,” integrating transportation, security, and visitor flow data for intelligent command and coordination. The bilingual AI assistant, “CIIE Smart Guide” offers instant responses and navigation support for global participants.
To enhance international services, China Unicom has established dedicated English hotlines, 24-hour bilingual AI assistance, and over 200 CIIE service counters throughout the city. Through the deep integration of 5G-A and AI, China Unicom continues to drive digital and intelligent upgrades, ensuring seamless connectivity and high-quality services throughout the Expo.
