The Meizhou Bay Green Energy Port operated by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) has received over 50 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG). This facility plays a crucial role in promoting economic, social, and ecological development in Fujian Province and surrounding regions.

Since its inception in 2008, the Meizhou Bay Green Energy Port supplies clean energy by distributing natural gas through a 372-kilometer pipeline network to power plants and urban gas systems across Fujian and neighboring areas. The terminal boasts six LNG storage tanks, each with a 160,000-cubic-meter capacity.

At present, construction is underway for a new 270,000-cubic-meter LNG storage tank at the terminal. Once operational, the project will boost the port’s storage capacity by approximately 30 percent, further enhancing regional peak-shaving, emergency response, and gas supply security.
