Once operational, the bridge will establish a new north–south corridor between the Beijing–Hong Kong–Macao Expressway and the Daguang (Daqing-Guangzhou) Expressway, improving connectivity between the Central Plains city cluster and the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei and Yangtze River city clusters.
