The 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) opened in Guangzhou on October 15 and will continue until early November. As a strategic partner of the event, China Southern Airlines Company Limited (China Southern Airlines), a subsidiary of China Southern Air Holding Company Limited, has optimized its route network and launched a series of global marketing campaigns to ensure smooth travel for global participants.
The Canton Fair continues to attract global exhibitors and buyers, particularly from Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) partner countries. In support of the BRI, China Southern Airlines has expanded its international routes, adding flights from Riyadh, Almaty, Tashkent, and Surabaya to Guangzhou.
During the fair, the airline plans to operate over 15,700 flights to and from Guangzhou, marking a 17 percent increase from last year. In cooperation with Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, China Southern Airlines has introduced dedicated security channels and exclusive check-in counters, and on-site assistance teams at the exhibition venue.
Additionally, China Southern Air Logistics Company Limited is offering tailored freight solutions including warehousing, transit, and international delivery. Cargo capacity on routes linking Guangzhou with Riyadh, Dubai, Moscow, and other key BRI cities has been increased for the fair.
The airline has also enhanced its passenger services through joint promotions with the Canton Fair in overseas markets including Thailand, Japan, and Australia, and has set up a cultural experience zone at the fair to showcase traditional Chinese culture and the integration of “aviation + culture and tourism.”
From convenient passenger travel to efficient cargo transport, China Southern Airlines is helping connect “Made in China” with the world and contributing to high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.
