Certified by the DET NORSKE VERITAS, this vessel operates on routes between Northern Europe and the Mediterranean, and is equipped with 1A ice strengthening and two 250-ton deck cranes. The inner bottom plating, the second deck, the hatch cover, and the cargo platform can carry significantly higher loads than those of common multi-purpose vessels, enabling open-hull navigation and transportation of oversized goods such as wind power equipment, cable reels, and offshore platform modules. It is environmentally friendly and can operate in nitrogen emission control zones, while its energy consumption and carbon emissions are lower than those of current multi-purpose vessels.

This ship belongs to a classic type in the multi-purpose ship series of the Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute. CSSC has secured a total of 40 orders for mass production. The upgraded version, the 14,000-DWT multi-purpose vessel, is currently under construction and scheduled for delivery next year.
