Updated: September 01, 2025

It marks a major breakthrough in international logistics for China’s automobile industry and injects new momentum into the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

This train service represents a key step in Jilin Province’s efforts to build an important gateway for opening-up, as well as FAW’s concrete action in advancing the BRI and supporting the international growth of China’s auto sector. Spanning about 7,900 kilometers, the route shortens transportation time from 45 days to just 18 days and cuts logistics costs by more than 30 percent, significantly boosting the competitiveness of FAW’s exports.

The launch of this logistics channel not only strengthens the international supply chain system but also provides a solid foundation for Chinese auto brands to reach the European market. While delivering Hongqi and Jiefang parts to Europe for large-scale distribution, return trains will bring back high-quality European components, fostering deeper industrial interaction between China and Europe and advancing the dual circulation development pattern.
