Eighty years ago, Chinese engineers operated the Jianshe —a trailing suction hopper dredger imported from Germany, on the Huangpu River. When foreign forces tried to seize the vessel, our people defended it with their lives, laying the seeds for self-reliance and national resilience.
Eighty years later, we now command world-class dredgers like Xinhaisha and Xinhaixun, independently designed and built entirely on home soil. The China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) dredging fleet has overcome core technical challenges and now protects our blue seas and skies with domestically built heavy-duty vessels that embody the spirit of national innovation.
