China Mobile International (France) Co., Ltd. (CMI France), a subsidiary of China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd. (China Mobile), has achieved a milestone by delivering its first 5G private network smart factory in France. This accomplishment signifies China Mobile’s debut in implementing a cutting-edge 5G private industrial network within the French market.
Boosting efficiency and reducing costs
By integrating advanced 5G networks with automated production systems, CMI France has helped its client enterprise improve production efficiency by nearly 30 percent while reducing labor costs by approximately 50 percent.
With its low latency, high bandwidth, and strong reliability, the 5G network overcomes technical limitations in traditional manufacturing — particularly in coordinating multiple robots working in parallel. This significantly enhances the enterprise’s capabilities in intelligent manufacturing and flexible production, and provides powerful support for the digital, networked, and intelligent transformation of the manufacturing industry.
Offering a replicable end-to-end solution
The deployed 5G private network was required to meet multiple stringent standards, including ultra-low latency, high reliability, massive device connectivity, remote operations, and industrial-grade data security. These capabilities form a real-time coordination system across the entire production process — essentially a “digital nervous system” for intelligent operations.
CMI France tailored the solution to the specific needs of overseas manufacturing enterprises, drawing on its strengths in 5G networking, industrial gateways, industry consulting, and cybersecurity.
