The 100,000-ton semi-submersible vessel XIN GUANG HUA successfully completed the transport of three ultra-large jack-up accommodation platforms from Qingdao, China, to Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
The vessel, the largest of its kind in Asia, is operated by COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers Co., Ltd. under China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation Limited (COSCO SHIPPING Group).

The mission, a daring voyage of 5,904 nautical miles, posed high technical demands, particularly in managing the cargo’s high center of gravity as the three platforms, weighing nearly 24,000 tons, have twelve legs that measure 108 metres in height.
Leveraging its advanced capabilities and intelligent transport solutions, the vessel completed the submerging and loading process in a short time and dynamically optimized its route based on real-time sea conditions, significantly shortening the overall transit time while maintaining strict safety standards. In the end, the three platforms were safely delivered and unloaded.
