As the peak summer travel season approaches, China Southern Air Holding Company Ltd. (China Southern Group) has announced plans to operate 320,000 flights across over 970 domestic and 260 international and regional routes.

During peak periods, China Southern Group will operate over 3,000 flights per day, offering travelers with a wide range of travel options and a better flying experience.
China Southern Group will focus on launching and increasing frequencies on popular domestic routes, particularly to tourist destinations in Xinjiang, Northwest, Northeast, and North China.
At its Guangzhou hub, the company will open or increase flights on routes to Xining, Lijiang, Hailar, and Dehong. It will operate more than 110 domestic routes from Guangzhou, with over 4,000 weekly flights.
At the Beijing Daxing hub, new or enhanced routes will include services to Changbaishan, Xining, Altay, Yining, and Aksu. China Southern Group will operate 55 domestic routes from Beijing Daxing, with over 2,300 weekly flights.
At its Urumqi hub, the company plans to expand services to Shenzhen, Guiyang, Harbin, and Shenyang, reaching over 1,600 flights per week during peak periods. Additionally, flights between Altay and cities such as Guangzhou, Beijing, Wuhan, Changchun, Zhengzhou, and Harbin will be newly launched or increased, with weekly flights reaching 64. Wide-body aircraft will be deployed on key routes from Urumqi to Guangzhou, Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Hangzhou, reaching a five-year high in both deployment and seating capacity.
To support the national strategy of revitalizing Northeast China, the company will add or increase nearly 30 routes, including Harbin–Urumqi and Harbin–Wuhan, Changchun–Hangzhou, Yantai, and Nanning, Changbaishan–Beijing and Shanghai, and Shenyang–Urumqi, Lanzhou, and Nanjing.
To promote the use of domestically manufactured aircraft, China Southern Group will deploy all five of its C919 aircraft during the summer season on routes from Guangzhou to Shanghai Hongqiao, Chengdu Tianfu, Changsha, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, and Taiyuan, serving a total of 13 destinations. Additionally, 35 domestically made C909 aircraft will operate on over 60 routes, including services from Guangzhou to Shantou and Yiwu.
On the international front, China Southern Group launched a new direct flight from Beijing Daxing to Dushanbe on June 16. Additional new routes include Guangzhou–Almaty, Guangzhou–Tashkent, and Harbin–Vladivostok.
The company will also increase frequencies on popular international routes across Central and West Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania, offering passengers more convenient options for outbound travel during the summer peak.
