Li expressed that over the past decade and more of China-Africa Belt and Road cooperation, infrastructure construction projects that Chinese central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) participated in have contributed to the acceleration of Africa’s modernization process, becoming significant witnesses to the consolidation and development of traditional friendship between China and Africa.
In the next step, SASAC will continue to encourage central SOEs to actively implement the Ten Partnership Programs proposed by President Xi Jinping for joint pursuit of modernization by China and Africa and work with African countries to carry out future-oriented, eco-friendly infrastructure cooperation that emphasizes delivering benefits and promoting people’s welfare, he said.
The sideline event on infrastructure cooperation was organized by the China International Contractors Association and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Hunan Province. Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja of Uganda as well as ministers from Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana, and other countries attended the event and delivered speeches.
