The domestic section of the cross-border railway bridge will span approximately 760 meters, with 348 bored piles, 34 pile caps, and 34 piers. The first bored pile, located at Pier No. 24, has a diameter of 1 meter and a length of 41 meters.

This railway, linking China’s Gants Mod Port with Mongolia’s Gashuun Sukhait Port, carries strategic significance for enhancing regional connectivity and expanding bilateral trade in energy and resources. As the second cross-border railway between China and Mongolia in nearly 70 years, the project will connect China’s Ganquan Railway with Mongolia’s southbound rail network upon completion. It is expected to further facilitate the flow of energy, infrastructure, and commerce between the two countries, boosting cross-border logistics, industrial parks, and border trade services.

The project plays a vital role in deepening China-Mongolia economic cooperation and advancing the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
