China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) recently announced that its subsidiary, China Construction Steel Structure Co., Ltd. (CSCEC Steel), has won the contract for the Six Senses Dubai Marina Residences project.
Located in the Marina district of Dubai, the tower will rise to a height of 517 meters with a total of 126 floors. Scheduled for completion in 2028, it is expected to become the tallest residential building in the world. This marks the eighth super high-rise project undertaken by CSCEC Steel in the Middle East.
The tower will adopt a steel-concrete core tube and shear wall structure, incorporating four megatrusses. High-strength S460 steel will account for 96 percent of the total steel used, with the thickest welded plates reaching 160 millimeters. The project will require over 10,000 tons of steel structures, which will be manufactured jointly at CSCEC Steel’s production bases in both China and the United Arab Emirates.
