The two sides had exchanges on topics including the reform and development of central state-owned enterprises (SOEs), youth entrepreneur development, and the inaugural “Cambodia-China Youth Entrepreneur Exchange Program” hosted by the China Business Executives Academy, Dalian (CBEAD).
Tan noted that significant achievements have been made during President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Cambodia in April this year, leading the China-Cambodia community with a shared future into a new era of high-quality, high-level and high-standard development.
SASAC will firmly implement the important consensuses reached by the leaders of the two countries, promote interactions and exchanges between the youth, especially young entrepreneurs, continue to support China’s central SOEs to deepen mutual trust and cooperation with the Cambodian side, jointly advance the alignment of the Belt and Road Initiative with Cambodia’s Pentagonal Strategy, and make new contributions to the common development, prosperity and rejuvenation of both countries.
Kim Rithy expressed his admiration for the achievements of China's SOEs reform and development, acknowledging that Chinese enterprises, the central SOEs in particular, have made significant contributions to Cambodia's infrastructure construction, industrial development, and product exports, which are highly appreciated by the Cambodian people.
He expressed the hope to take the exchange program as an opportunity to foster closer communication with China’s central SOEs, enhance mutual understanding, and further deepen practical cooperation in various fields including high-tech and modern agriculture, etc.
