The agriculture team of China Siwei Surveying and Mapping Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), recently launched a lightweight remote sensing platform tailored for agricultural users — “Siwei Yuntian”. The platform leverages the powerful data processing and service capabilities of the Siwei Cloud to support smart agriculture with advanced aerospace technology.
The platform features five core service modules: crop management, disaster assessment, agricultural meteorology, smart IoT, and real-time satellite imagery. By enabling intelligent identification of farmland and crop types, dynamic monitoring of crop growth and maturity, accurate yield and harvest period predictions, rapid assessment of crop damage, and early warnings for weather-related disasters, the platform provides comprehensive, one-click access to agricultural conditions — all in a single integrated visual interface. It helps users mitigate risks, optimize planting strategies and improve overall agricultural productivity.
The platform has already been deployed in several regions, including Xinjiang, Hebei, and Hunan. Its high-precision and timely data products serve the needs of various users such as large-scale agricultural enterprises, county-level agricultural and rural departments, and insurance providers.
