Compared with traditional diesel locomotives, the battery-powered locomotive offers significant advantages, including advanced technology, intelligent operation, high reliability, and lower maintenance costs. It is equipped with features such as autonomous driving, intelligent maintenance systems, and Beidou-based positioning technology. Powered by high-capacity lithium-ion batteries, the locomotive achieves true “zero emissions”.
The locomotive’s power battery system utilizes domestically developed battery cells, featuring multiple layers of protective mechanisms to ensure comprehensive battery safety. In addition, the locomotive is equipped with a braking energy recovery system, significantly reducing energy consumption costs.
To meet future demands for unmanned intelligent transport, the locomotive has been designed with interfaces ready for autonomous operation. It can be equipped with a proprietary onboard unmanned driving system based on machine learning, capable of mimicking the operating habits of experienced drivers. Combined with intelligent scheduling functions, it enables unmanned intelligent transport in closed environments, greatly enhancing transportation efficiency.
As a proactive supporter of China’s “dual carbon” goals, CRRC remains committed to technological innovation, firmly advancing along the path of green development.
