Dongfeng Freight Train Delivering Voyah Vehicles to Europe

Updated: March 26, 2025

The Dongfeng China-Europe freight train, loaded with 96 Voyah vehicles, departed from Wuhan, Central China's Hubei Province on its way to Selyatino Station in Russia. The journey, spanning approximately 8,900 kilometers, is expected to take 20 days.

This marks the first dedicated train launched by the China-Europe (Wuhan) freight train this year. Custom-built by Hubei Port Group Co., Ltd. (Hubei Port Group) for Dongfeng Motor Corporation, it is part of Dongfeng’s strategy to expand its global market presence under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

The Voyah vehicle production plant, located in Wuhan Economic Development Zone, is only about 10 kilometers from Wuhan Railway Container Transport Center, which allows Voyah vehicles to be delivered to the center in just over 20 minutes, significantly reducing the company’s logistics costs.

In recent years, Dongfeng Motor Corporation has accelerated its export efforts, with its new energy vehicles (NEVs) making a strong debut on the international stage. Since launching its international business in 2022, Voyah vehicles have entered markets in Italy, Spain, Portugal, and several BRI countries. The company has emerged as a prominent Chinese enterprise in the European high-end NEV market.

At the train’s departure ceremony, Hubei Port Group and China Dongfeng Motor Industry Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement to strengthen collaboration in integrated logistics and multimodal transport.
