A freight train hauled by the “Fuxing” electric locomotive, developed and manufactured by CRRC Datong Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CRRC Corporation Limited, has departed from Yueshan Railway Station on its way to Changzhi North Railway Station.
This marks the official deployment of FXD2BA electric locomotives on the Taiyuan-Jiaozuo Railway, providing a reliable boost for coal transportation from Shanxi and accelerating the transition to modern logistics.
As a vital transportation corridor for Shanxi coal, the Taiyuan-Jiaozuo Railway features steep gradients, numerous curves, tunnels and bridges. These conditions impose stringent demands on locomotive performance and operational control. Compared with existing electric locomotives, the FXD2BA model offers greater starting traction and faster acceleration, effectively addressing operational challenges such as wheel slip and slope-related stoppages.
Beyond improved power, the FXD2BA electric locomotive also features significant advancements in intelligence and safety. It is equipped with a fault prediction and health management system that enables real-time monitoring of critical components, including the traction converter and ventilation systems. This system proactively identifies potential failures, significantly enhancing operational safety and reliability.
CRRC’s efforts in continuous technological innovation and product upgrades has contributed to the modernization of China’s railway system, delivering robust support for national railway development.
