Major projects in full swing
On February 6, more than 400 workers from China Railway 12th Bureau Group Co., Ltd. resumed work at the Pearl River Delta Hub Airport Section of the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway. As a crucial junction for multiple railway lines, including Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway, Zhuhai-Zhaoqing High-Speed Railway and Shenzhen-Nanning High-Speed Railway, the project is advancing at full speed to meet construction targets.
Meanwhile, 73 meters below sea level, engineers at the Qingdao Jiaozhou Bay Second Tunnel are overcoming complex geological challenges. Zhang Wenjia, a young engineer from China Railway 14th Bureau Group Corporation Limited, is operating the massive Haitian Hao tunnel boring machine, while over 200 workers have returned to work after completing safety training and inspections.
At the project site of Algerian Western Railway Mining Line, more than 6,000 Chinese and Algerian workers are working in challenging desert conditions. The first bridge installation has been completed, and daily sleeper production has reached 4,720, signaling a transition to full-scale operations.
Maximizing construction efficiency
During the Spring Festival, over 400 workers accelerated construction on the Suining Fujiang Grand Bridge, part of the Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway project, with its 100-meter-tall main towers now completed.
In Nanjing, more than 300 workers and 18 construction machines are operating at Nanjing North Railway Station, aiming to complete the structural phase by March.
In Shenzhen, at the site of the Phase Two of Pinghunan International Logistics Hub, over 300 workers from China Railway 25th Bureau Group Corporation Limited are advancing steel structure installation in the first half of the year.
Ensuring smooth post-holiday travel
As travel demand surges after the Spring Festival, CRCC’s highway teams are working tirelessly to manage the travel rush. CHINA RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION HIGHWAY OPERATION CO., LTD. has handled 2,000 hotline calls and 400 incidents while deploying over 300 snow removal units. These efforts have helped reduce traffic accidents by 18 percent year-on-year, with driver satisfaction reaching 98.6 percent.
In Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan and Chongqing, China Railway Construction Kunlun Investment Group Co., Ltd. is working closely with local authorities to analyze traffic, adjust flow and activate emergency lanes, ensuring smooth and safe travel.
CRCC is striving to make further progress in 2025, reinforcing its role in advancing major infrastructure projects, both domestically and internationally.
