The CR400BF-C high-cold intelligent EMU, which was deployed during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, now offers smart, passenger-friendly services linking winter destinations in Northeast China.

The train’s outer decoration integrates ice and snow and sports elements, while the eight-car formation includes business, first, and second-class seating, along with a dining bar. Car 5 offers 12 workstations equipped with international power outlets and adjustable tray tables, catering to business travelers.

The EMU includes smart features like automatic restroom lighting and energy-saving air conditioning. Its water system recycles water, reducing usage by 10 percent. The aerodynamic design, inspired by falcons and marlins, lowers air resistance, while the train operates reliably in temperatures as low as -40°C. A smart monitoring system detects potential faults, acting as an “onboard doctor”.

The train has precise sanding devices and heating systems to ensure safe operation in icy conditions. For winter sports enthusiasts, ski storage is available in Cars 1, 4, and 8. The train also includes an accessible carriage with wheelchair spaces, an accessible restroom and platform compensators, ensuring a comfortable journey for passengers with special needs.
