Gou Ping, Vice Chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), attended the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2025 on January 20 and 21. Themed “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age”, the event brought together more than 3,000 representatives from over 130 countries, spanning government, business and academia.

During the event, Gou Ping, together with senior executives from China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation, State Grid Corporation of China, China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd., CHN Energy Investment Group, and China General Technology (Group) Holding Co., Ltd., listened to the special speech addressed by Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang. They attentively studied the rich connotations in aspects of promoting universally beneficial and inclusive economic globalization, upholding and practicing true multilateralism, jointly fostering new drivers and strengths for global economic development, and tackling major global challenges.
Ding’s speech further reinforced their confidence in the long-term positive trend of China’s economy, and remained focused on firmly implementing the country's unswerving commitment to opening-up to empower world economic development, and building a community with a shared future for mankind, through the actions and outcomes of SOE’s high-quality development.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Gou Ping held talks with Prof. Klaus Schwab, founder and Chairman of the World Economic Forum, as well as executives of multinational corporations, such as Qualcomm and Honeywell, on issues ranging from deepening mutually-beneficial and win-win cooperation, to promoting technological innovation, and achieving green development, etc.
Representatives of relevant bureaus of SASAC attended the meeting.
