This vessel is a high-speed passenger ferry with an advanced lightweight design, measuring 44.9 meters in length and 11.1 meters in width. It features energy-saving and environmentally friendly technologies, including solar photovoltaic panels installed on the top deck to support lighting and air conditioning during berthing.

Xin Ming Zhu XI will transport residents and tourists around Hong Kong’s outlying islands. The eight ferries already in operation have received widespread acclaim for their green ship technologies and passenger-friendly facilities. The design and construction of the remaining two vessels in the series are progressing smoothly.
