On May 9, China’s first intelligent heavy-haul electric locomotive, jointly developed by the Shuohuang Railway Development Co., Ltd under China Energy Investment Group and CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co., Ltd. under CRRC Corporation Limited rolled off the production line. This locomotive incorporates leading technologies and intelligent auxiliary equipment to enhance its operational capacity, energy efficiency, intelligence and safety. It will be used for heavy-haul transportation on the Shuohuang Railway, the second largest coal transportation corridor to transport coal from the western part of China to the East.
