On September 19, the first cylindrical floating production storage and offloading unit in Asia, "Haikui No.1," and Asia's first deep-water jacket platform, "Haiji No.2," both launched by China National Offshore Oil Corporation in the waters off Shenzhen, South China’s Guangdong province, began production simultaneously. They are expected to extend the life of Liuhua oilfield in the South China Sea by 30 years. This innovative deep-sea oil and gas development approach represents a significant milestone in the international deep-water oil and gas exploration sector, showcasing China's world-class capabilities in designing, constructing and installing deep-water oil and gas equipment.
