CHN Energy Investment Group (CHN Energy) signed agreements on Wednesday with 45 companies from 14 countries and regions, including Mongolia, Indonesia, South Africa, the United States, and Germany, during the ongoing 7th China International Import Expo in Shanghai.
The contracts cover the import of high-quality coal, high-end equipment and components, as well as advanced technical services, with the total amount exceeding $2.65 billion, it said.
As the Chinese government continues widening market access and the business environment improves, the company saw its accumulated procurement amount reaching $12 billion during the past seven years, it said.
As one of China's largest energy suppliers, the company has been stepping up energy production and efforts towards a clean energy shift in the past few years.
