A container carrying New Zealand exhibits for the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) set sail from Auckland, the country’s largest port, on September 15 under the care of China COSCO SHIPPING Corporation Limited.
As the only officially recommended “international shipping service provider” for the CIIE, COSCO SHIPPING has been actively involved in supporting local businesses from various countries for the past seven years. During this time, COSCO SHIPPING Lines (New Zealand) has assisted numerous outstanding local enterprises in entering the Chinese market and has established long-term full supply chain service partnerships with clients.

Pacific Alpacas, a New Zealand exhibitor, is among those looking forward to the expo. To ensure its latest products arrive at the event safely and on time, Pacific Alpacas contacted the CIIE logistics team on the day the new products came off the production line. ENCARE, a New Zealand health supplement brand, also selected COSCO SHIPPING for its exhibit transportation.
Currently, COSCO SHIPPING operates four regular container lines in New Zealand, directly serving ports including Auckland, Lyttelton, Napier, Wellington and Tauranga. These routes provide New Zealand businesses with global import and export shipping services. The company is also strengthening its full supply chain service system, offering local import and export companies comprehensive logistics solutions, including warehousing, trucking and customs clearance.
Exhibits from the South Pacific nation of Vanuatu were also shipped, departing from Port Vila and are expected to arrive in Shanghai by the end of this month. Both the government and local enterprises in Vanuatu have taken advantage of the CIIE platform and the expo has been instrumental in introducing the country’s agricultural and marine products to the Chinese market.
