Foreign Media Representatives Embark on an Energy Journey

The 6th World Media Summit opened in Xinjiang last week, attracting more than 500 representatives from 106 countries and regions to engage in in-depth discussions on the theme of “Artificial Intelligence and Media Transformation”.

During the summit, which opened on October 14, nearly 200 participants visited the CHN Energy Investment Group (CHN Energy)’s exhibition booth, its centralized control center in Xinjiang, and the Turpan Photovoltaic Power Station. They explored the group’s achievements in promoting renewable energy in Xinjiang and experienced the new quality productive forces driving China’s energy industry.

On the eve of the summit, the CHN Energy Xinjiang Company welcomed the first group of media representatives. At the centralized control center, foreign media delegates watched videos showcasing beautiful landscapes and cutting-edge technology, gaining insights into CHN Energy’s rapid development in the renewable energy sector and its active exploration in prioritizing energy ecology and promoting green, smart development.

In the VR experience zone, guests experienced real wind power project sites via VR devices, witnessing how technology powers the energy sector’s transformation.

On October 15, more than 30 foreign guests visited CHN Energy’s Photovoltaic Power Station in Turpan, where they observed how the city has revitalized itself by harnessing solar energy.

The exterior walls of the control building of the photovoltaic station consist of 345 photovoltaic glass panels, and its roof is covered with 80 photovoltaic panels. Along with four outdoor solar trackers, these facilities fully utilize solar power to meet the building’s daily electricity needs.The station provides electricity for 11 surrounding residential communities, supplying electricity to more than 7,300 households and 30,000 residents in Turpan.

The event enabled foreign media representatives to witness not only profound transformations in China’s energy sector but also a nation steadfast in its pursuit of progress and innovation.
