Catherine was born in the town of Mpanda in southwestern Tanzania. She had always been curious about the outside world, hoping that one day there would be a road leading out. That day came when China Railway Group Limited (CREC) built a road connecting the town to the outside world, bringing significant changes to the lives of local residents.
