The center includes three key facilities: the Egret Stadium, the Phoenix Gymnasium and the White Dolphin Natatorium. These facilities are set to enhance sports infrastructure in Fujian province, providing a new platform for broadening public fitness activities and promoting the coordinated development of competitive and mass sports in Xiamen.
The Egret Stadium has a total construction area of approximately 180,600 square meters. It is a Grade A stadium in China. The venue features a dual-purpose design with an athletics field and a standard football field. For football matches, it can accommodate more than 60,000 spectators, while for athletics meets it can accommodate 54,000.

As the first stadium in China capable of switching between football and athletics, the Egret Stadium required high construction precision. To facilitate this, the project team overcame several technical challenges related to the elevation of the flat stands and independently developed a movable stand technology.
The Phoenix Gymnasium has a total construction area of about 155,000 square meters and can accommodate approximately 18,000 spectators. It is the first gymnasium in Fujian province to offer "ice-basketball conversion" and is used for public fitness and large-scale sports events. The gymnasium has already hosted the CBA All-Star Weekend for two years running, reinforcing Xiamen’s reputation as an international sports city.

The gymnasium’s design features a double-curved streamlined architectural style, with a large-scale point-supported glass curtain wall installation that enhances both aesthetic appeal and functional performance. The facility integrates an ice-making system within the core anti-freeze concrete, creating Xiamen's first venue for ice hockey and short-track speed skating.
The White Dolphin Natatorium, with a total construction area of about 75,400 square meters and 5,253 seats, is built to international standards and can host diving, swimming, water polo and other international water sports events, while also serving as a water entertainment center for citizens.

The challenging geological conditions presented by the coastal construction site, including extensive rock layers and thick underground sand, presented significant obstacles.
The gymnasium project team addressed these challenges by pioneering the use of pipe pile planting techniques, achieving a significant breakthrough in foundation construction technology for Fujian province.
