China Southern Airlines Accommodates Demand for Chinese Goods in Paris

Updated: July 24, 2024

A flight loaded with e-commerce goods that included shoes, hats, accessories and daily necessities recently departed from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, delivering high-quality Chinese products to Paris.

The flight to one of the fashion capitals of Europe is operated by China Southern Air Logistics Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Southern Airlines Co., Ltd.

As the Paris Olympics approach, the demand for Chinese-made e-commerce products in the French market has surged, particularly for popular items such as mobile phone accessories and fast-moving consumer goods. Over the last month, the volume of goods transported from Guangzhou International Cargo Terminal to Paris has shot up by 65 percent.

Statistics indicate that, in the first half of this year, the outbound volume at China Southern Air Logistics’ Guangzhou terminal increased by over 40 percent year-on-year, setting new records in both volume and growth rate.

In response to this surge in demand, China Southern Air Logistics has swiftly implemented a peak export season guarantee plan. The plan includes measures such as improving and optimizing transportation processes, reducing warehouse waiting times, increasing manpower and speeding up cargo turnover.

These initiatives will enhance operational service efficiency, ensuring that Chinese products reach Paris safely and efficiently.
