The China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) and Saudi Arabia's El Seif Engineering Contracting company have held a signing ceremony for a new mixed-use project in Riyadh.
The project is located in the Diriyah district of the Saudi Arabian capital. It will cover a construction area of approximately 340,000 square meters, including the building of the Capella Hotel, a university, a museum, a library and a square.
The project, which is worth around $2.08 billion (15.1 billion yuan), is part of Saudi Arabia’s “Vision 2030,” aimed at advancing Riyadh’s education, culture and tourism sectors.
Jerry Inzerillo, CEO of the Diriyah Company, stated that the project is a key focus for the Saudi government and a new flagship project for Riyadh.
Inzerillo hoped that CSCEC and El Seif will fully utilize their first-class management and implementation capabilities in the high-end building sector to create a high-quality engineering project.
