Hot-rolled coils produced by Chongqing Iron and Steel Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of China Baowu Steel Group Corporation Limited, have been delivered to the Amazon Industrial and Commercial Company in Brazil.
Since the beginning of this year, Chongqing Iron and Steel has been focusing on improving quality, market expansion and enhancing product profitability.
From January to May, Chongqing Iron and Steel exported approximately 60,000 tons of steel to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, North America and Europe. To date, the company has developed nine new grades and specifications of hot-rolled coil products for export.
In May, 30,000 tons of SAE1006 hot-rolled coils were shipped along the "Maritime Silk Road" to Vietnam and India. In June, the production, sales and research team of Chongqing Iron and Steel responded swiftly to international market demands in meticulously developing a new product – SAE1008 hot-rolled coil. The company has since received orders amounting to 14,000 tons of the new product, with the Brazilian market in particular, and South America in general, showing great interest.
Chongqing Iron and Steel will steadfastly advance its "internationalization" marketing strategy and develop new products based on customer needs to further grow its export operations. Additionally, it will continuously enhance quality control levels and offer customized high-end product design services.
